Arrests made after Ford death

Two men were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a man at a Ford industrial estate.

The 62-year-old and a 26-year-old from Hampshire were arrested yesterday (October 3) on suspicion of manslaughter by gross negligence, following the death of Lindsay Campbell, 66, from Waterlooville in an incident at South Coast Skips, Rudford Industrial Estate, Ford, on July 25.

They were subsequently released on police bail until 6 December.

On September 7, a 47-year-old Birdham man and a 50-year-old Bognor man were also arrested but were subsequently released on police bail until November 8.

The investigation is being carried out by detectives from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team with the support of the Health and Safety Executive, and police reports are being submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service.
