Arsonists start fire in Littlehampton nature reserve

ARSONISTS set light to grassland on Littlehampton's West Beach yesterday (Wednesday, March 17).

Fire crews were called to the nature reserve, near the public toilets, at about 12.50pm, where a 30sqm area of land was on fire.

They spent just over 30 minutes putting out the flames.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the blaze had been started deliberately.
