RESIDENTS have been invited to view and buy a selection of paintings, photography, pottery, sculpture, woodwork, textiles and associated crafts from local amateur and professional talents.
All exhibits will be on view in Maresfield’s village hall, St Bartholomew’s church and churchyard and in the grounds of Marco Pierre White’s Chequers Inn on May 2.
There will be a prize draw which will include dinner for four at the Chequers Inn and a percentage of all proceeds from this event will be donated to Maresfield Conservation Group, (registered charity no:1104136,) which will be used to maintain the heritage and appearance of this beautiful historic village.
Local schoolgirl, Georgia Allen, aged 10, who is dealing with the debilitating symptoms caused by the rare and relatively unknown condition Charcot Marie Tooth, will also be exhibiting and selling her latest collection of paintings in order to raise funds for her treatments and the national charity CMT.
Georgia’s story can be found on www.thegeorgiaallenfund.com and details for CMT can be found at www.cmt.org.uk
Marco Pierre White, a passionate lover and supporter of the arts, will also be personally signing any of his books throughout the day.
