A raffle and bucket collection was generously matched pound for pound by Barclays Bank. There were also a host of prizes donated by West Sussex Music, L Guess Jewellers, Fontwell Park Race Course, Virgin Active, Rustington, and Butlins, Bognor Regis.

James Underwood, chief executive of West Sussex Music, said: “I would like to thank Arun District Council for orchestrating such a successful day, it was great for us to meet with those that generously sponsored the event and it was the perfect opportunity to showcase West Sussex Music and raise money for our charitable work with harder to reach children.”

Mr Cooper, who has made the music group his chosen charity for the year, said the day was a ‘thoroughly enjoyable and successful’ one and wished to thank all the sponsors who donated prizes for the raffle.
