Connaught, which employed 10,000 people nation-wide, went into administration on Wednesday, September 8, and Arun confirmed that the company was contracted to carry out maintenance until March, 2011, and a Decent Homes programme until December.

An Arun spokeswoman said: “Connaught is continuing to carry out work for the council in accordance with their contractual commitments and we are closely monitoring their situation in order to limit any disruption and ensure continuity of service for tenants is maintained.”
