The Littlehampton charity is being supported by Arun District Council chairman Andy Cooper during his term.

Mr Cooper paid a visit to the call centre, the council’s customer service team, before Christmas to thank staff for the £70 they raised for his chosen charity.

This money was in addition to just over £200 raised by staff at Arun District Council in November, also through a dress-down day and cake sale.

Mr Cooper said: “What a pleasure to be able to visit Arun Direct and meet the generous staff who have made a contribution each Friday to raise funds for Enable Me.

“Not only was I able to thank the team in person, but was able to spend some time with them and see the hard work they do from the minute the phone lines open in the morning.

“They handle a wide variety and high volume of calls each day so for them to make the time for fundraising is fantastic and much appreciated”.
