Arun District Council set to debate Littlehampton cinema this month
CAMPAIGNERS fighting to save the Littlehampton’s now-closed cinema have secured a debate at Arun’s next full council meeting.
Members of Littlehampton Civic Society spent almost four weeks to collect more than 5,000 signatures urging Arun District Council to discuss whether or not the authority could stump up between £15,000 and £30,000 for a digital projector, which would replace the ageing one at the Windmill Entertainment Centre, where films have not been shown since February 14.
The debate will take place at the Arun Civic Centre, Maltravers Road, Littlehampton, on March 20, when final decisions will also be taken on Arun’s draft leisure strategy.
