Councillor Mrs Gillian Brown, Leader of Arun District Council called it ‘really exciting times’ for the town.

She said: “Arun has listened to the views of the public. As a result of these longer term plans, the seafront will look even more stunning once this work is complete and will attract residents and tourists of all ages to our fantastic seaside town.”

A statement outlined the overall offer ‘is designed to appeal to all ages’ and encourage people to visit ‘more often and stay longer’.
