Arun Youth Community Awards are here

MORE than 55 young people have been invited to attend this year's Arun Youth Community Awards.

The invitations have gone to the 11 to 19 year olds who were nominated for an outstanding act they have carried out in the past year.

Their deeds could win community awards in the categories of bravery, voluntary work and charity work.

Chairman’s awards will also be presented at the special occasion at 6pm, on March 28, at The Windmill, in Littlehampton.

The winners and runners up in each age category have been selected by the Arun Youth Council.

Youth council chairman Alex Harman said thoroughly deserving nominees had been put forward.

“The Arun youth councillors found it really difficult to decide who should win the main awards as the outstanding acts of charity, bravery and voluntary work were all so deserving,” he said.

“These awards are recognition of the wonderful achievements of the youth of Arun and prove to the entire district just how much good the young people in our area do.”
