Arundel Castle’s gardens open with new additions

THE gardens at Arundel Castle will be welcoming visitors again next month, with several new features added for horticultural enthusiasts.

The grounds reopen on April 1 and updates to the garden include an extension to the stumpery, now stretching into the living willow arch area and featuring a garden bursting with woodland plants.

Four new Gothic archways, planted with Adélade D’Orléans roses, have also been included to lead visitors through to the rose garden.

There is also a new poppy display at the gardens, which has been planted to commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War.

A season ticket is now available for 2014, offering access to the grounds and gardens for £30 a year.
