The team at LloydsPharmacy, helped by The Arundel Surgery practice manager Julie Hannaford, officially opened the doors on Friday to its modern approach to community health.

The store, in Green Lane Close, has been transformed as part of a large-scale roll-out across the UK and follows the recent launch of LloydsPharmacy’s wider initiative to deliver forward-thinking and flexible healthcare.

Arundel residents will benefit from enhanced services for a range of conditions, with a particular emphasis on skin health and pain management.

Lisa Sturman, pharmacy manager, said: “We are excited by our transformation. We want our new store to become the destination of choice for customers looking for expert health advice.

“Our knowledgeable four-strong team will be on hand to provide customers with individual expertise on skin health, helping those with skin conditions to effectively manage their condition with product selection support and application techniques.

“We know many who suffer from long-term health conditions don’t always want to go to their doctor every time they have a question. We are able to support the work of GPs and other healthcare professionals in the area by offering convenient, one-to-one care that our local residents need and deserve.”

To tie in with the forward-thinking approach to health, the modern make-over has been designed to providing customers with a bright and airy, relaxed environment.

The steady rollout of revamped stores is set to continue in 2015, with 200 more planned before the end of the year, taking the total to more than 550.

The community pharmacy, one of more than 1,550 LloydsPharmacy stores across the UK, is open from 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm Saturday.
