BOOK GROUPS: The March book is “Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” by the wonderful Barbara Kingsolver. This mix of autobiography, journal, food politics and recipes celebrates the pleasures of good food and argues for authenticity in both eating and food production. The afternoon group will meet on March 31, 8 p.m. at Ashburnham Place whilst the evening group will meet on March 27, 2 p.m. If you would like to borrow the book or would like further information about either group, please contact Nicole on 894208 or Nicky on 892474.

SPRING FAIR: Ashburnham & Penhurst WI are holding a Spring Fair tomorrow, March 28, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Along with refreshments and light lunches, there will be local produce, raffle, cakes ad children’s activities. Anyone interested in having a stall should call Paula on 01424 893134. They look forward to seeing you there.

MOBILE LIBRARY: The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library service will next be in Ashburnham (by the chapel) on Tuesday, April 14, 2.40 p.m. - 3 p.m.
