Ashburnham and Penhurst village voice

The Ashburnham and Penhurst book group gets together today, Friday April 27. This month, they are reading Dickens’ “Our Mutual Friend”. If you’d like to borrow a copy to read, give Nicky a call. From now on, the book group will be meeting on the fourth Friday of the month.Remember, you don’t have to come to their gatherings to read the books - just ask Nicky if you’d like to borrow a copy. The Ashburnham & Penhurst Diamond Jubilee Fund Raising Committee are holding a coffee morning at The Sports Pavilion tomorrow, Saturday April 28 10.00am – 12.00pm. Go along to their last coffee morning before the Jubilee celebrations!

The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library service will next be in Ashburnham (by the chapel) on Thursday May 10 and 24, 9.50am - 10.10am.

The Ashburnham and Penhurst Gardening Club are having a spring plant sale on Saturday May 19 at Asburnham Sports Pavilion, 10am-1pm. Refreshemtns, including soup and cakes provided by the WI.
