Ashburnham and Penhurst village voice - March 23

The Ashburnham and Penhurst Diamond Jubilee Fund Raising Committee are holding a coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday March 24, 10am-12pm at the Sports Pavilion. With tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits, produce and a chocolate tombola on offer, this is a great chance to catch up with your friends and neighbours.

For the green fingered people of Ashburnham and Penhurst, The Ashburnham and Penhurst Gardening Club March meeting is on Monday 26 entitled “Colours in the Garden from Gertrude Jekyll” at 7.30pm at the Church Hall, Ashburnham Place. Ninfield and Penhurst Parish Council will be meeting on March 28 at Ashburnham Sports pavilion, 6.30pm. All residents of both villages are invited to attend.

The East Sussex County Council Mobile Library service will next be in Ashburnham (by the chapel) on Thursday March 29, 9.50am - 10.10am.

The next Coffee Morning is on Monday April 2 in the church hall, Ashburnham Place10:30am - 12pm. You are welcome to go along for a good friendly chat. For further information, please contact Tina on 01424 843728.

Ashburnham Chapel is holding a joint Good Friday Service, April 6 with St. Peters Church at 2.30 pm preachers Revd, Brian Bowyer and Revd. Francis Cumberlege. Then on Easter Sunday, April 8, they have a special celebration service at 6.30pm when the preacher will be Barry Turnwell. A warm welcome is extended to everybody from all at the Chapel.
