Ashburnham and Penshurst

• Ladies of Ashburnham - did you know that there are bra recycling facilities in Battle? The 1066 Cycling Club is collecting unwanted bras, washed but in any condition for good causes. The bras are sent out to Africa where women have increased status and less likely to be abused if they are wearing one. Through this brilliant scheme, they are also able to support Breast Cancer Research and local walking and cycling projects. There are collection points in Knickknicks, in Old Ladies Court and in the Post Office, both in Battle. Please join in and tell your friends. So, when you visit Battle remember your unwanted bras! Thank you.

• There is a village coffee morning tomorrow, April 13, 10am - 12pm at the Sports Pavillion. There will be tea, coffee, cakes, biscuits, produce and a raffle. All proceeds are in aid of Ashburnham Village Hall.

• The next coffee morning is on Monday April 15 in the Church Hall, Ashburnham Place 10:30am - 12noon. You are welcome to go along for a good friendly chat. For further information, please contact Tina on 01424 843728.
