Assault course event planned for Bognor Regis

CLAMBERING, climbing and crawling could all feature in an assault course challenge in Bognor Regis.

The first event of its kind for those aged 11-plus will take place at the town show on September 3.

Those wanting to take part will be put through their paces at two preliminary contests on August 19 and 26.

They will take place from 11.30am on both days at the Hampshire Avenue recreation ground where the show will be held.

One of the organisers, community leader Kez Bridger, said: “We are expecting there to be ten members in each team. There will be plenty of fun and silliness.

“The pre-competitions are designed to get our youth teams ready for the town show. They will be challenging various partnerships in an It’s A Knockout type challenge.

“Prizes and medals will be awarded to the teams who come first and second.”
