Attack on Hastings man in Alexandra Park sparks appeal

An attack on a man from Hastings in Alexandra Park has sparked an appeal for witnesses by police today (Tuesday, July 26).

The 35-year-old man was walking with friends in the park when he was assaulted between 5pm and 5.30pm on Saturday, July 16.

The victim received significant cuts to his upper body requiring hospital treatment – he was later discharged.

A 24-year-old man from Hastings was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

He was questioned and bailed until Thursday, September 15.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact the police via [email protected] or by calling 101 quoting serial 1139 of 16/07.
