Attempted car theft in Yapton

In a statement it said a 37-year-old man, the home owner, was woken by the sounds of someone trying to break into his garage where his car is kept at around 5.45am last Wednesday (February 22).

It appears as though the suspects have attempted to push the car, a classic beetle, out of the garage before they were disturbed by the victim, officers said, adding that some tools were stolen in the incident.
