Autumn meeting for horticultural society

Chiddingly Horticultural Society will be holding its autumn meeting on October 18.

Speaker Dr Nikki Gammans, an expert on bees will be addressing the meeting.

She will give an illustrated talk about the three bee species of the UK, their present plight and how people can help. She will also talk about a project to reintroduce the short-haired bumblebee which is one of the extinct UK species.

All are welcome to attend the meeting which starts at 7:30pm.

People are asked to arrive at 7pm.

Refreshments are provided on the night.

The society will also be holding its AGM on November 8 which starts at 7:30pm.
