Autumn show rounds off ruby anniversary celebrations

CROWHURST and District Horticultural Society finished its 40th anniversary year in style with the group’s annual autumn show.

The society’s last show of the year saw around 145 entries across a number of different categories, including flowers, fruit and vegetables.

Mary Boorman, chairman of the Crowhurst and District Horticultural Society, said: “It was a fantastic way to finish our 40th year celebrations.

“Several new faces exhibited at the show, which was great to see.

“We always welcome new members and exhibitors to our shows.”
