Awards recognise Arun’s brave and dedicated young people

SELFLESS youngsters have a chance to shine.

Nominations have opened for next year’s Arun Youth Community Awards, organised by Inspire Leisure and Arun District Council’s youth council, for outstanding young people aged 11-19.

Katie Emms, 17, chairman of the youth council, which will judge the awards, said: “I am always so proud to present the awards, to celebrate and recognise the good work of the young people in Arun.”

There will be three categories, consisting of bravery, voluntary and charity work, and awards will be presented in three age groups, with an overall winner.

Charlotte Anning, of Inspire, said: “Any young person who has done something worthwhile during the past year and fits into one of the categories can be nominated for an award.”

Littlehampton Rotary Club, will also be offering an individual plaque and gift voucher to one young person from the Littlehampton area.
