Peter Stemp, president of Bognor Regis Rotary Club, said: “The clubs all realise just how important these awards have become, recognising, as they do, the efforts and sacrifices made by young people in our area.”

The Rotary clubs took on the running of this event last year and the event in March saw more than 20 young people receiving awards.

“Next year, we hope to see even more deserving young people nominated,” said Peter. “Planning is already well in hand with the presentation evening is booked for March 16, 2016.”

Young people aged 11 to 19 who deserve to be recognised in the community can be nominated. They may have committed an act of bravery, volunteered to help others, raised money for charity, or gone above and beyond expectations at school.

Nomination forms are now being printed and will be widely distributed but can also be downloaded from the Rotary Arun Youth Community website, rotaryayca.org.uk.
