Awareness conference to be held by M.E charity

reMEmber, the Mid Sussex charity for people with M.E, will be holding its M.E Awareness Conference at Martlets Hall, Burgess Hill on Saturday May 14 at 2pm.

Dr Bansal, who is a consultant immunologist, will speak on the interaction of viruses, poor sleep, muscle function, endocrinopathy and stress.

Dr Charles Shepherd, medical advisor to the national ME Association, will also speak on recent developments including the national ME Biobank and welfare benefits.

Janice Kent, Director of reMEmber, says: “We give ME sufferers help and advice, campaign for better health and care services and support biomedical research. Last year our Patron, Sir Nicholas Soames, presented Dr Amolak Bansal, our medical advisor, with our cheque for £5,000 towards his research into the cause of this chronic illness.”
