Rescuers rushed to the aid of two baby badgers after they were attacked by a dog in Seaford.

Residents had reported a badger wandering around chasing people walking in the field but then a dog slipped its lead and attacked the babies.

East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service (WRAS) found the two badgers at the field edge.

Rescuer Kathy Martyn had to be very patient in trying to coax them out.

The frightened badgers were also underweight, dehydrated and suffering from skin problems.

The rescue took over an hour trying to catch both badgers one at a time.

They were then loaded into one of WRAS’s ambulances and delivered up to Folly Wildlife Rescue near Tunbridge Wells to go with another badger cub rescued earlier in the week.
