Two snowy owl chicks have been named at Drusillas Park in Alfriston.
The naming coincided with the zoo’s remembrance for animals which lost lives in battles during the wars.
A spokeswoman for the zoo said: “On the centenary of the First World War, we remember all those we have lost in war and those that are still far from home serving their country.
“We also reflect on the animals that have lost their lives in battle and to mark this important day of remembrance, Drusillas Park is proud to announce that their two female snowy owl chicks have been named Poppy and Hope.”
