Bake Off fun at Midhurst Turner House development

Midhurst residents whipped up their most show-stopping bakes for an afternoon of sweet treats at the Great Turner House Bake Off, held at McCarthy and Stone's Turner House development, in aid of local charity, Midhurst Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Service.

The panel of judges was made up of Turner House concierge Trudy Jolly and Arabella Madge, Midhurst Macmillan shop manager. Mavis Welland, won the competition after baking millionaire’s shortbread.

All proceeds from the event went to Midhurst Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Service, a charity which provides support at the Midhurst Community Hospital.

Julie Ward, regional sales and marketing director for McCarthy and Stone, said: “The Great Turner House Bake Off was an absolutely fantastic day, full of scrumptious treats and great fun, all in the name of a fantastic local charity.
