WOMEN'S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: is on Friday 3 March and Balcombe will be celebrating at 2.00 pm in the Parish Room. The theme is 'Am I being unfair to you' Philippines.

LOCUS YOUTH GROUP: meet on Friday 3 March from 6.30 – 8.00 pm in the Parish Room. Everyone over 11 years welcome – now meeting fortnightly.

VILLAGE ARTS WEEKEND – On Friday 3 March at 7.00 pm there will be A Balcombe Feast of Music in St. Mary’s Church when the programme will include modern classics, sing-along favourites as well as classical. Light refreshments will be served in the interval when you can also view an art exhibition by local artists. Entry is free but donations welcome.

On Saturday 4 March 10.00 am until 4.00 pm join the team for a Workshop on Bach’s St Matthew Passion. To register to sing at the workshop please contact Pennie on 811249 or [email protected]. At 3.00 pm there will be an informal concert to which all are welcome with tea and cake. Donations welcome.

On Sunday 5 March at 3.00 pm Janet Canetty-Clarke will be in conversation with Jeffrey Lloyd-Roberts about her life, work and travels as renowned choral trainer and conductor.

ART EXHIBITION: there is a special opportunity to view the work of local artists in St. Mary’s Church throughout the weekend. Friday 2 March 10.00 am until 6.00 pm, Saturday 4 March 4.00 pm to 8.00 pm and Sunday 5 March from 11.00 am until 3.00 pm.

BARNSTORMERS COMEDY: is back in the Balcombe Club on Saturday 18 March, with a Stella line up including, Bennett Arron, John Ryan and from America Russell Hicks. Compare for the night is our very own Sussex boy Steven N Allen, £10 in advance or £12 on the night. Call 811226 for tickets.

BALCOMBE BULL RUN: this event is now in its fourth year and is being held on Sunday 19 March 2017 and starts at 10.30 am from Balcombe School. More information can be found at www.facebook.com/BalcombeBullRun where you can enter online. This year we are raising money for St Catherine’s Hospice and Balcombe School.
