BLIND MAN'S BLUFF: on Saturday 12 March in the Victory Hall, the Victory Players will be holding a 'Wine Man's Bluff' evening in aid of the St Mary's church appeal. The event, which will include a two course meal, is a variation on the traditional game of 'Blind Man's Bluff', and involves a certain amount of wine tasting. Look out for publicity round the village, but please put the date in your diaries. Tickets on sale in Threads at £17.50 per head.

Local market: There will be a PRODUCE MARKET for local suppliers in the Parish Room on Saturday 12 March from 9.30 am until 1.30 pm. Among the stallholders will be the fantastic Monty Bojangles chocolates, truffles and sweets, Richard Bates with his pork products including sausages and bacon, Luigi with lots of different Italian goods (pastas and sauces feature), and Mary with cakes, preserves and chutneys. Look out too for Michelle with her delicious “Game On” jellies, condiments and marinades for game and cheese. Michelle says “we like to be seasonal & like to be different,” so do pop in to sample some. You will also find Bernie’s Dog Food and dog accessories as well as Rapkyns Nursery outside the hall showcasing their amazing plants. During the morning tea and coffee will be served with all proceeds going to Balcombe Scouts.
