A LATVIAN man who was banned from driving for three years last Tuesday found himself back in trouble the same day for driving home from court.
Uldis Keisis, 42, of Dyke Road, Brighton lost his license for a drink driving offence in Marine Parade, Worthing. He left Worthing Magistrates’ Court after his hearing only to jump in his car and drive off.
He was spotted by courthouse staff who informed the police.
Mr Keisis’s silver Fiat was stopped by police on the A27 heading towards Lancing at around 4.25pm. He was arrested and spent the night in custody.
He pleaded guilty to driving without a license at Worthing Magistrates Court on Wednesday, June 26.
Mr Morris, defending Mr Keisis said: “He very much regrets what he did and he’s full of remorse this morning.”
He said the reason Mr Keisis had driven his car was to ensure that it did not receive a parking ticket.
