STOOLBALL: We have a few teachers in our team so avoid arranging fixtures during half-term. We were all back on June 7 and played away to Wivelsfield Green. Both teams played out the 15 overs resulting in Wivelsfield 99, Barcombe 140. Angharad Hills 4 for 41, Janet Hughes held three catches. On June 9 we had a win against Ditchling at home. Barcombe 104 after 10 overs, Sara Hepple 54 runs. Ditchling 94 all out.

CRICKET: ESCL Div 2 Barcombe v Ditchling. Barcombe 48-1 in 11 overs. Match abandoned, rain, nine points each.

BOWLING CLUB: The home game arranged for earlier this month against Crowborough Wolfe was cancelled due to wet weather. However last week the next two games were played in ideal conditions of warm sunshine with the fowling results: Barcombe 67 St Annes (Hove) 86; Barcombe 65 Uckfield 55. The early rounds of the Club Competitions are now being played (when the weather allows) leading up to the Finals Days on September 3 and 4.
