STOOLBALL: It was unfortunate that we had to cancel our tournament on May 1, however, our Mid Division Ladies league has now started and this season we have 19 paid up members which is brilliant for us. We have played our first two matches. Barcombe 148 in 15 overs (Angharad Hills 59, Janet Hughes four catches). Ringmer 132 in 15 overs. Barcombe 103 in 10 overs (Susannah Maynard 53). Plumpton 97 in 15 overs.

Our match against Wivelsfield on May 17 resulted in a win to Barcombe. Barcombe 139 after 13 overs; Sara Hepple 73 no. Wivelsfield 135. On May 19 Buxted unfortunately cancelled. Four of our team - Angharad Hills, Jen Lay, Nic Keysell and Susannah Maynard were selected to play a county game against Surrey at Adastra on Sunday, May 15. A nail-biting finish to the 80 overs game with Mid 323 and Surrey 325.

CRICKET: ESCL Div 2 Robertsbridge v Barcombe. Robertsbridge 146 all out in 40.3 overs: Toby Hingstone 4-18, Paul Coppard 3-15. Barcombe 144 allout in 26.2 overs: Matt Tucker 41, Josh Wheatley 29. Robertsbridge (30 points) beat Barcombe (13 points) by two runs.
