Barnham school is top of the league

A Barnham school has been shown in education league tables issued today to have this area's top performing pupils in exams.

The government's figures showed that St Philip Howard Catholic High School had both the best GCSE and A level results last summer.

Almost two out of three students - 65 per cent - achieved five A*-C grades at GCSE.

This success put the school 14th in West Sussex.

Bognor's unauthorised half-days amounted to 1 per cent for 15th place. Westergate had 0.8 per cent of missed half days to occupy 18th place, with Felpham 28th with 0.5 per cent of missed half days.
