Battle Abbey student is new carnival queen

The 17-year-old, of West Hill Road, St Leonards, was picked for the role by a panel of judges. Bethany, who is studying A-levels and volunteers at a Battle nursing home, said: “I’m totally in shock and literally over the moon.
