TWO darts players will be aiming their arrows a stone’s throw away from where experts are now saying the Battle of Hastings was fought.

Wayne Martin and Chequers landlord Gary Simmonds will be playing darts around the clock at the pub to raise funds for the Hastings and Rother Voluntary Association for the Blind.

The darts marathon starts at noon today (Friday) and continues through the night to Saturday lunchtime.

All legs will be standard 501 format and scoring will be done by pub regular Spencer Clarke who is a former Sussex and Kent darts MC under the name of Zuqi The pair are eager for people to come along and show their support and pledge some money to charity.
