Battle parish assembly date

BATTLE’S Parish Assembly is fast approaching, with this year’s meeting to take place in the Battle Memorial Hall on May 9.

In preparation for the event, Battle Town Council will be circulating to every household a copy of its Annual Report together with full details of the Assembly itself.

This is not only the opportunity to hear from county, district and town councillors about what has been happening in the local area but for residents to put questions to those councillors.

Rather than an open forum the Assembly will repeat the structured ‘Question Time’ session which has proved popular and successful in the last two years.

In response to requests from several organisations to promote their activities, arrangements are also being made for table displays which will be located in the St Valery Room, adjoining the main hall. Any groups wishing to have such a display should contact Peter Mills.
