PCSO Phillips said: “It’s the first time we have organised anything like this. We wanted to support the community we work with, and the fun day was a great way to bring everyone together. It was very challenging to organise but it was a fantastic day, made possible by many people in and around Battle.”

SASBAH was founded in 1965 by a group of families who wanted to raise awareness about the conditions and provide support to each other.

Today the charity continues to provide support and respite to families plus much needed educational and medical advice.

PCSO Emma Phillips, PC Daryl Holter and Special Constable Matt West presented the cheque at the charity’s headquarters at Gun Hill, near Hailsham.
