Hide AdCouncillor Marie-Louise Neill said: “As summer approaches, we've noticed so many beautiful front gardens and community areas in and around Battle, but we know there are more out there that deserve recognition.

“We need help to find these hidden gems! If you have a garden you're proud of, or if you know someone whose garden you admire – or envy – please suggest that they enter.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the contributions and achievement of our gardeners.
Photographs taken during judging will be displayed at the Almonry and in social media so that everyone can be inspired.”
Competition categories include:
- Best front garden
- Best back garden
- Best patio garden
- Best container garden (adult and children)
- Best newcomer
- Best fruit and vegetable garden
- Best wildlife garden
- Best family garden
The deadline for entries is Friday, June 21.
