Be considerate at Halloween

‘Be polite on Halloween night’ that’s the message from Sussex Police to those planning to celebrate Halloween tonight (Friday October 31).

Police said over the Halloween and Bonfire Night period there is often a rise in reports of anti-social behaviour and criminal damage and Surrey and Sussex Police are working together to remind everyone to stay safe, have fun and celebrate considerately.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Jones from Sussex Police said: “Those who live alone, such as the elderly and the vulnerable can find this time of year distressing, please respect the wishes of those displaying notices not wanting to take part. We ask that parents or guardians make sure that young children are supervised while ‘trick or treating.’”

If you feel you have been a victim of anti-social behaviour call 101, in an emergency always dial 999.
