Beauty Haven Fundraising event

A taster day at Beauty Haven was "fun" for customers but also raised £155 for local charity.

Owner Tracey Woollaston described the event as "really good", with around 100 people dropping into the salon in Buckhurst Place during the day to try out a range of therapies and treatments from hopi ear candles to indian head massage, and spary tan to mini facials.

At the same time Tracey ran a prize raffle to raise money which will go to Homecall, the charity which provides volunteers to visit the blind at home and help maintain their independence by doing jobs such as letter-writing.

Tracey said: "I chose this because Homecall is a Bexhill charity. I asked my customers whom I should raise the money for, and they put this name forward.

"I would like to thank my staff who worked diligently throughout the day - Faye Hamilton, Nikki McDermott, and Nathalie Austin - and the customers for making it such a fun day. Everybody got merry - it was fantastic, I loved it...it was just fun with my customers."
