It is on Tuesday May 17th and is an all day event leaving Beckley at approximately 8.45 am. Quex Park is a unique country Park of 250 acres in East Kent set within an estate of 1800 acres around Birchington, Acol and Richborough. It is home to the Powell-Cotton Museum and the Powell-Cotton family’s extraordinary collection of natural history, ethnography and fine and decorative arts.http://www.quexpark.co.uk/

We have arranged a morning guided tour of the garden, entrance to both the Powell-Cotton museum and Quex House, and lunch. The tour includes a brief history of the garden and some background knowledge of some of the more interesting plants and trees. Entrance cost per person including garden, museum and house: adults £7, seniors/children £5. The Horticultural Society will meet the cost of the garden guide. Lunch cost to be agreed.

If we have sufficient numbers and it is economical to do we will book a coach and part subsidise the cost.

Pre-School: For those who are new to Beckley pre school and Northiam nursery we run as a charity, while fees and government funding pay for overheads such as rent and staff etc, everything else such as all the toys, computers, books, paint and so on, the things that our children play with every day, have been donated or bought from monies we raise at such events. We can only do this this with the help of the Committee, Staff, Volunteers and Parents together, it could be manning a stall, baking some cakes, making tea, selling raffle tickets or just attending to show your support. Stallholders please contact [email protected] to book a table

The Committee meet once a term to discuss both settings or the events team meet regularly too, anyone can attend. If you would like to know more, please speak to the staff

Once in position, the defibrillator detects the heart’s rhythm. It won’t deliver a shock unless one is needed.Every second countsAfter a cardiac arrest, every minute without CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and defibrillation reduces someone’s chance of survival by 10 per cent.
