ANYBODY FOR MURDER?: Beckley players next production “Anybody For Murder” is to go ahead from Wednesday 7th -Saturday10th October at Beckley Village Centre. All profits will be going towards the Village Centre so please come along and support us!The play is a comedy thriller by Brian Clemens and Dennis Spooner “..a thriller superbly laced with comedy, which gives that extraordinary amalgam of dramatic tension and helpless laughter.” (Amateur Stage)Tickets are £7 Thursday and Saturday Wednesday is opening Gala night £10 to include cheese and wine Friday is Theatre Supper NIght £15 to include a three course meal!! Parked cars along main street: Please do not mount the pavement when parking along main street. The pavement is for people to walk on, push chairs,mobility scooters, electric and manual wheelchairs.When pushing a pushchair you should never have to push your child either into the hedge or the main road to pass the vehicle. The local police have been told about this in the village and car owners can get fined.

Over hanging hedges: If vegetation from an adjacent property is affecting a road or pavement this could be dealt with by East Sussex County Council. They may deal with it themselves or contact the owner requiring them to do it. They can be contacted at [email protected] or 0345 60 80 193

All Saints Church: Beckley Music Concert Saturday 24th October 7.30pm A concert of sacred and secular music to celebrate the renovation of the organ will be performed by the Wealden Consort, judged to be one of the top six choirs in Kent in 2014. The conductor and organist is Cornelis Taekema who has performed on the celebrated organs of Canterbury Cathedral and the Royal Albert Hall. Tickets available on the door will be £8. Christmas Craft Fair: Saturday 28th November, 10-2 Beckley Village Centre to raise funds for Beckley PreSchool and Northiam Nursery (registered charity). Taking bookings for tables now. email [email protected]. Put in your calendars for a great day out. The pre school has boxes to collect items for the annual Christmas Craft Fair. They would love donations for the adult & children’s tombola’s, plus food and/or drink . Also a big shout out for any of your clean, in good condition unwanted MUGS ! Please ask friends, neighbours & family they need lots.This is their main fundraising event for the year and this is how they raise monies to buy equipment, toys & support the children at Beckley and Northiam.
