The Public Engagement Event for the proposed 30mph speed limit in Beckley is to be held at the Village Hall on Friday 29 November between 2pm and 8pmand Saturday 30 November between 10am and 1pm when residents and visitors will be able to view the plans and ask any questions. In the meantime, a letter and questionnaire will be distributed to the residents most directly affected by the proposals

Here to help are in the need of volunteers in the Beckley area to help. Elderly and young people when they first come out of hospital. It might be offering transport to the doctor or hospital, even doing a little shopping or helping to cook a meal. More details 01797280377.

People are still parking their cars and work vans on the pavements in Beckley main street, please be aware that the local police are aware of this problem. Just take a minute to check if you have left enough room for a mother and push chair to get through! They shouldn’t have to go on the main road to pass your car or work men’s van.

Beckley preschools are holding a jumble sale on 17th November at Beckley village centre from 10am till 12. So why not have a clear out they are after any jumble please drop it off at the village hall. You can drop off anytime during the week in term time..

Buzzy Bees runs every Wednesday from 9.15 to 11.15am at Beckley Village Centre. Session cost just £2. They are very friendly; have even got fantastic reviews on the Netmums website.
