Beckley School beats the freeze

FREEZING cold weather was not enough to deter children from Beckley Primary School enjoying Easter fun.

There was a party atmosphere when the school held its Easter Fair in the playground.

The children enjoyed guessing the name of the bunny, taking part in a netball shoot out challenge, apple bobbing and a chocolate tombola.

The home made cakes proved very popular as was the face painting and flower pot game.

Tina Langmead from the Beckley School Association said: “We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event especially Jempsons who helped sponsor some of the Easter eggs.

“The success of this event means we can have a brand new stage built in the playground for the children to use at playtimes and also allowed us to run an Easter Egg Hunt with eggs being distributed to all the children.”
