Working hours are 8pm to 6am, with the intention that noisier works will be completed by 11pm each night.

No weekend working is planned.

The roundabout will be closed each night while the work is done.

County council cabinet member for highways and transport, John O’Brien, said: “We have brought this forward so the roundabout is resurfaced ahead of the Felpham By-Pass opening on March 4.

“Once the work is done the roundabout will be smoother and quieter to drive around.”

Access to the business parks near the site will be maintained as best as possible.
