'Best year' for Bexhill College A Levels

BEXHILL College enjoyed its best year yet of A level results.

Students arrived at the college yesterday to find more smiles than anything else, as results shone across the board.

Paul Ashdown, principal, said: "We are very pleased with the results. We have a 93.59% pass rate at A level, which we think is the best we have ever had. We were also pleased to learn we have 29 subjects with a 100% pass rate."

Amin Elmubarak, 18, said: "I'm going to university. I feel so lucky. I got a D in physics. I needed A, B, B, D, and that's exactly what I got. I'm off to study medicine at Imperial.

Lucy Walter, 18: "I got a B for chemistry and an A for physics and an A in maths. I'm off to Imperial to do physics."

Charla Dalgakiran, 19, was happy that she got a C in chemistry and a D in biology. She is going to Brunel University to do medical biochemistry.
