Beware of ewes and lambs in fields
A warning has been issued reminding dog owners of the need to keep control of their pets during the lambing season.
Sussex Police public engagement officer for Mid Sussex, Eve Maryan, said: “Unfortunately in recent weeks there have been a few cases of sheep worrying going on.
“Some dog owners don’t seem to be aware that there are ewes in lamb or with lambs in the fields, some have been killed by dogs.
“Please be responsible when walking dogs - if you are not sure of the area or how your dog reacts around livestock, keep them on a lead.”
