Huw Merriman got into the swing as he teed off National Golf Month – a project aiming to inspire 100,000 new players focused particularly on women and young people.

“Golf is often seen as a men-only activity so I am delighted that National Golf Month is trying to change that,” Mr Merriman said.

“Golf is good exercise, very social and can cost a lot less than people think. I would urge my constituents to try golf via the National Golf Month website; there are offers on there from lots of East Sussex businesses so not only is it a fun and low cost way to try the sport, it is a great way to get out and see our lovely county.”
