Bexhill FM returns to our airwaves

Another extraordinary week is about to take place in the exciting story of Bexhill FM.

The radio station, run almost entirely by the students of Bexhill High, Bexhill College and St Richards, continues in its upward trajectory.

Newcomers have been initiated to the experience of running the popular radio station and their voices will soon be heard across the airwaves.

The station's week begins on the weekend of July 10-11 and runs until the evening of Friday July 16 with some familiar voices.

Listeners will be pleased to know that there will be opportunity to hear live sets from local bands.

A great success last year was Sam Webster's hugely popular Band Show, when he presented music from In Tyler We Trust, local band Houston Has A Problem, and Frequency.

Richard Harris, station manager, will again feature in the breakfast slot which is aired from 7am each weekday. His highly impressive and original show draws plaudits from an ever-widening fan base.

James Rogers, Emma Brockhurst, Leah Bryant, Jonny Higgins, Elliot Hayes, Jas Smith, Matthew Rhodes and Aaron Pape are more of the established team who will again be performing for our entertainment, as will Luke Webster and Fraser Ward who caused much merriment with their Guilty Pleasures and daily comedy sketches.

This is shaping up to be another vintage year for Bexhill, however sponsors are desperately needed to help meet the running costs of this prestigious facility for the town.

If there are any residents or businesses which would like to be promoted on Bexhill FM this year, please contact Mr Higgins at Bexhill High.
