Bexhill High reunion

It was the year Madonna sang Like A Virgin, Reagan was in the White House, we all watched Band Aid and everyone thought Miami Vice was dead cool.

It was 1985 - and if that was the year you left Bexhill High School you'll remember that long hot summer as if it was yesterday.

Sadly it wasn't - it was almost 25 years ago - but if you're up for remembering old times, and not afraid of 80's hairdos, a reunion is being planned for later this year.

Colyn Allsopp of St James Avenue, contacted the Observer and said: "We are trying to get people to come along to the reunion - we would like them to contact us so we can get some ideas of numbers and see how much interest there is.

"The people who left Bexhill High School in 1985 are all turning 40 now - it comes to us all in the end, but it's just another birthday at the end of the day.

"So we would like to have this get-together - if anyone wants to get in touch they can call me on 07812 214376, Alison Watkins on 07971854930, or Joanne Laing on 07515985631."
