Bexhill Museum lectures 2011

BEXHILL Museum lectures, held at 2.30pm on Wednesdays in St Augustine's Hall, off Cooden Drive, resume in the New Year with Dr Graham Whitham speaking on the topic, The Open Road - Art and the Automobile, on January 5.

Then follow: January 19, Hugh Miller on Plantagenets, Pelhams and the Last Siege of Pevensey; February 2, John Dowling on Was It Worth It? - a career in journalism; February 16, Mike Russell on Birds and Birdsong; March 2, Harry Hickmott on the Kent and East Sussex Railway, and March 16, Dr Janet Pennington on The History of Sussex Inn Signs. Amission is £2 per person, £3 for non-members, to include refreshments.

Two 7.30pm lectures, limited to maximum audiences of 36 in the museum’s new Education Room, will be held on March 30, when Sarah Page talks about Sussex Trugs, and April 13, when the county archaeologist will speak on Understanding the Setting of Bodiam Castle.
